My Thoughts
My experience
C: Mostly embedded programming. I don’t really know how to deal with memory allocation in the real world — I never had memory to allocate.
JavaScript: I’ve been doing this for far too long.
Kotlin: What’s the point of being the nicest language ever if no one wants you to use it?
Java: Just use Kotlin.
Go: Just use this instead of throwing JavaScript at everything.
PostgreSQL: Better yet, do everything here. It can do anything.
MySQL: Just use Postgres.
Zig: Yeah sure, I can make a ToDo app. (I think.)
ELK Stack: You’ll know if you need it.
DevOps: Yeah, sure — I can SSH into something from time to time.
Redis: You probably don’t need it, but someone will ask you to add it anyway.
Kafka: Please touch grass. You didn’t need Redis — you definitely don’t need Kafka. Wake up.
HTML: Repeat after me: "YOU DON’T NEED REACT."
Vue.js: If you do need React, just use Vue instead. Or literally anything else. Are you crazy?
